A stunning and comfortable midcentury sofa made in Norway, designed by Edvard Kindt Larsen for Gustav Bahus in 1960s. An exceptional sofa both for its form and quality. The single back cushion rests against a framed teak backrest, creating a striking posterior view. The sofa is upholstered in nugget brown fabric. The seat of the sofa opens on a hinge, revealing a storage area with a hanging canvas base. The sofa rests on tapered, round teak legs. Condition Report: The frame is structurally sound, incredibly strong and sturdy, teak is in excellent condition. The upholstery shows uniform signs of wear due to age and use, without tears or rips. Please note that we can reupholster the sofa according to your preference, so please contact us if you wish this. The underside of the sofa has the manufacturer’s stamp (Gustav Bahus, made in Norway). Beautiful Scandinavian desk designed by Gunnar Nielsen Tibergaard in the 1960s. On both sides, the desk is provided with 3 drawers, the top ones close by key. The desk is made of teak and teak veneer and is in good vintage condition.

Gabriel Stephanescu-Arephy (1893-1975), the son of George Stephanescu (the founder of the Romanian Opera) and his wife, the mezzo-soprano Alexandrina Gavalla, was born in Bucharest in October 1893. To his name he proudly added the particle "Arephy", after the name of the place in Arges county, where the family's summer residence was, Arefu Mansion. In Bucharest he was the pupil of Vermont and Demetrascu-Mirea, and later his internships as a young painter were held in Geneva and Paris (the workshop of Ferdinand Hodler and the Free Academy of Andre Lhote). A frequent participant in the visual life in Paris, he exhibited his works in the official salons of the French artists and in the Salons of the Independents in France. He was a founding member, in 1921, of the Fine Arts Syndicate and Society of the Salon of Independents in Paris, starting in 1928.

Two beautiful armchairs made of teak wood in Denmark, in the 1970s. With a wool upholstery in brown, grey and cream colours, this items are in very good vintage condition. The minimalist and modern look is emblematic for the Scandinavian furniture of that time. The armrests are quite sculptural and features the iconic organic lines of Nordic design.

Beautiful pair of teak lounge chairs FD-109 model by Ole Wanscher, designed in the 1950s and made in the 1960s by France and Son. The pieces are in good vintage condition, with normal signs of use due to age and with a lovely patina of time. Due to the influence of light, the colors may be distorted. Impressive Scandinavian Modern solid varnished rosewood set with a 3-seater sofa and 2-seater sofa designed by Lennart Bender for Stjernmobler in Herrljunga, Sweden, in the 1960s. The sofas are accompanied by three lovely pillows. Condition Report: The frame is structurally sound, incredibly strong and sturdy, rosewood is in good vintage condition. The upholstery is in original condition so show uniform signs of wear due to age and use, with some rips on the back of long pillows (please see the photos). Although we avoid altering the original elements, we still recommend reupholstery in this case. Please note that we can reupholster the sofas according to your preference, so please contact us if you wish this. Displaying a beautiful Scandinavian design aesthetic, this item features an interesting U-shaped armrest made in wood and renewed mustard upholstery (fireproof hotel & restaurant safe). Comfortable and beautiful Banmuller LAMA chaise longue made in 1970s in Germany. The chair is adjustable in height and has a removable footrest. It is made of chrome tubular structure and features the original orange upholstery. The chair is made by Baumuller with LAMA tubular bent metal chromed components made in Italy. The item is in good vintage condition and shows only minor traces of use consistent with its age.
