Model 1391 (big globe) table lamp designed by Motoko Ishii in 1970’s and manufactured by Staff Leuchten, Germany. This unique Space Age lamp is provided with a large glass shade (half mirror and half transparent) supported by a chrome plated cylindric base.
The lamp is in exceptional vintage condition and in perfect working order, ready to use.

The Space Age is a time period encompassing the activities related to the Space Race, space exploration, space technology, and the cultural developments influenced by these events. The Space Age is generally considered to have begun with Sputnik (1957).
